A Thousand Bows

For my part in the Takeuchi Naoko-sensei worship, I've come to admire her. Here's a short essay why, and why you should too.

Many creators are forgotten, I do not want to be one of the people that do that! Never forget the creator. Unfortunately Takeuchi-sensei is one of those people. Even SOS forgot her until she came to the US. *glare* SOS only put up the info about her until she came to the States. (Yeah, they did a disclaimer, but a disclaimer is not enough!) So I'm here showing you why I love her works, and why I admire her as a person!

It should be noted that I have or am working on getting ALL of her works in Japanese. I have put in the requests for the manga and am patiently awaiting their arrival! It also should be noted that I have started a group of people who will/are hosting http://www.takeuchi-naoko.com (on which we are making a list of silly questions). I am a fan of her in more than Sailor Moon. I do have Alex Glover to thank for that, Read his page minna-san!

I know that I may seem like a crazed silly fan at times, but I honestly do admire her works, and her! If I was to meet her (as cliche as this sounds) I would wish that that I could see her draw one of her characters. I wouldn't care who, I just want to see how she draws those beautiful pictures! I'd also love her autograph if it wasn't too much trouble for her.

I also want to buy all the installments of Princess Takeuchi Naoko Back-to-Society Punch!! I've read the translations (by Alex Glover) and I thought they were witty and very funny. The manga had a lot of information on her and Sailor Moon. I really began to admire her after reading that manga. For those who haven't read Princess Takeuchi Naoko Back-to-Society Punch!! yet, you should!

I liked dishonest meeting of Togashi-sensei better in Princess Takeuchi Naoko Back-to-Society Punch!! It was more romantic and satirical of who Takeuchi-sensei is. Some people out there, for some reason miss the humor and take it a little too seriously. Afterall Punch! means funny. (she also makes fun of the "punch" by literally punching people.)

Some people also borrow SOS's opinion, and don't bother to make their own! People, SOS is not that good for the Princess! Some people *ahem* SOS *ahem* also don't know what it is like to work hours and hours and pour out their hearts into the creation. They don't know what the joy is from completing something that they think is their best work they've done yet! They don't know what it feels like to breaking your limits and then feel the accomplishment. They don't know what it's like to know that finally that piece of work is going to be published for the world to see. They most of all don't know what it's like going through the pain and frustration of all of a sudden discovering than someone else lost it! I would be at least a little bitter toward the people that lost it. Wouldn't you? Apparently SOS does not.

The Princess got over the lost PQ Angel Manuscript pages, which is quite admirable!

As for the married couple: I wish her and Togashi-sensei love and happiness. They already seem to be very much in love and very happy, but what the hey, extra wishes don't hurt!

If it's not too much trouble I think Mixx should translate all of her illustration volumes. In fact, Stu, would it be much trouble to translate ALL her works? Stu? Oh well I guess him saying that Code name Sailor V coming out and e-mailing me is generous enough...

Takeuchi-sensei has grown very much as an artist over the years, and has worked very hard. I do believe she deserves the recognition I give her in this shrine. It is such a shame that the majority of Sailor Moon fans simply ignore/ don't know her despite what she did for them. She created a great manga that became a great anime. Without her neither the anime nor the manga would have been created. Without her we wouldn't have many great manga and anime such as Magic Knight Rayearth. (which was said by CLAMP themselves.) Sailor Moon has opened many doors for many great anime and manga, inspired many people, and opened the doors wider for the great genre called Magical Girl manga.

Takeuchi-sensei has made many great manga besides Sailor Moon. In her other manga she has shown a flair for humor, romance, and action, and a vivid imagination that is rare in any writer/drawer. Her works sometimes flow like a gentle stream, and sometimes picks up speed like a waterfall, but never loses a heart beat. Sometimes her manga makes you gasp if you take the time to read what she has, and though you find yourself at the beginning soon you'll find yourself at the end asking where the time went. It's almost impossible to put down her manga.

I do wish her happiness. Arigato Hime for creating Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon and your many other wonderful works!

Note: Sailor Ud is of my own creation, no one may take her or use her without my permission. If you do you are essentially kidnapping me.. She's based on ME! You know I won't be too pleased to find myself kidnapped and one of my mascots being used on your page!
